She believes in creating accessibility for all and offers hands-on adjustments to assist in developing a deeper body awareness and proper alignment. Attuned to her class, she works with the energy of the space encouraging yogis to listen to their bodies while finding a little more room to grow--whether it be physically, mentally or spiritually. This Hatha Flow class is a blend of longer holds in poses mixed with a gentle flow to integrate strength, flexibility and balance along with meditation and attention to the breath. The intention is to create a welcoming place for human beings to turn off their minds and tune into their body's wisdom, discovering pieces of themselves along the way.

Jimmy Chan Shifu

Jimmy Chan Shifu has been studying/practicing TaiJi Quan and Chinese Gung Fu for over 20 years. Though he truly started as a child, he said what he was taught back then was so watered down that he doesn’t count those years of effort. He then began studying with Internationally recognized Acupuncturist, Herbalist and Grandmaster of TaiJi Quan and Gung Fu, Dr. Shi Cun Wu (Shifu) at the KangTai TaiJi Center in Chicago where his true traditional training began. Each class run time is 75mins, each class begins with specific warm up incorporating basic postures and stances, each class walks through forms step by step to instill the essence of the meditation, each class focuses on breath and concentration, the instructor offers suitable variations for postures for anyone with difficulty performing, and homework is rendered at the end of each class to ensure practice continues outside of class setting.
